Our members
All Congolese population from Democratic Republic of the Congo are and become dully members of the COCOMAINE once they arrive. We are located in the State of Maine within Cumberland, York and Androscoggin counties.
How we got started
The Congolese Community of Maine has been created and incorporated in in the State of Maine in 2012. yet, it is being ruled by fellow Congolese until today.
What we do
We promote Cultural Exchange and Celebration by organizing cultural events, festivals, and activities that celebrate the diverse heritage of community members. This helps us promote understanding and appreciation of different cultures among both our community members and the wider community of Maine’s population. We promote Language acquisition and educational programs to help newcomers adapt to their new environment. We provide Social Services and Support to our members, especially newcomers.
