The Second edition of the CocoMaine League is here, following the success of our inaugural event last summer. We are excited to announce the kickoff of this year's electrifying soccer tournament! Six talented teams will compete, showcasing their skills and determination in the quest for victory. Prepare for a spectacular display of social connectedness, unity, inclusion and passion as members of immigrant Communities will demonstrate skills in this championship. Help Us Meet Our Goal. We’re raising funds to support the captivating social connectedness event hosted by COCOMAINE. This year marks the second edition of the COCOMAINE League, a kaleidoscopic soccer tournament designed to galvanize the immigrants through sport.
The intricate series of 18 games will embark on June 30th and conclude on August 24th, 2024, at Fitzpatrick Stadium in the verdant metropolitan city of Portland, ME. To meet these challenges, we aim to raise $20,000.

The Purpose

Community Engagement and Inclusion for overall wellbeing. At the heart of COCOMAINE League's purpose is the commitment to community engagement and inclusion. Soccer is a universal language that transcends cultural and social barriers, and we are dedicated to ensuring that everyone, regardless of their background, has the opportunity to participate by bringing together diverse groups of people, we strive to create a more cohesive and supportive community. This inclusivity extends to providing opportunities for any individual with the ability to play the game of soccer, ensuring that this program is accessible to all.

Objectives

- To create an inclusive and accessible environment where individuals of all backgrounds and abilities can participate in soccer.

- To enhance Community outreach to engage underrepresented groups such as ethnic minorities.

- To provide free registration to the program to remove barriers to participation and promote the benefits of physical activity for mental well-being.

- To organize wellness initiatives community walks/runs to encourage overall health and wellness within the community.

- To partner with community organizations, such as ECBOs, youth clubs, recreational centers, and health organizations, to create a network of support and resources for our participants.

- To engage the broader community and promote a sense of unity and participation.

- To make this program an established local league for various age groups and skill levels, providing regular competitive play and opportunities for progression.
